Gunite: India Building – Liverpool

 In Issue 17

India Building is a commercial building with it’s principle entrance in Water Street, Liverpool. Mainly an office building it also contains an internal shopping arcade and the entrance to an underground station. It is Grade II listed and must be one of the largest buildings its age constructed of steel and concrete.

Gunite (Eastern) Ltd were asked by Overbury to assist with the project as there was another contractor on site who wasn’t able to deliver the volume of repair at the speed which the programme required.

The works required concrete repairs to 4 floors of the India Building. The project has just commenced and will take approximately 16 weeks to complete (4 weeks per floor).

All repairs are generally to the ribs of the slab and we are using Fosroc Zincrich, HAR, AR and Renderoc HB45 for the works.
