Ask the Specialists! Concrete Repair

 In News

The Structural Concrete Alliance hosted a 3 part series of webinars for each association in the alliance, where specialists answered questions put to them by attendees.

The Concrete Repair Association webinar was second in the 3 part series, held on the 9th September. The webinar was very positively received, with plenty of questions submitted to our experts on the day, who were:

He has worked extensively in the refurbishment of Bridges, Marine structures, Buildings, Car Parks, Water industry assets and Nuclear Power Stations.

The webinar was introduced by Lauren Fairley, the Secretary of the Association who then welcomed Ron Pinfield, the Chair, to give a brief summary of current activities from the CRA. From here, the webinar moved into the main event: the questions.

Some examples of the questions that were asked of our specialists are:

  • What are the determining factors when choosing a concrete repair system?
  • Do cracks in concrete need to be cut out and repaired?
  • Can I use micro-concrete for repairs and therefore feather edge the perimeter?
